Tick Bite Care Made Easy:
Treat, Soothe, and
Heal with Our Comprehensive Kit.

This season, don’t go camping, hiking, or even out the door without throwing a tick kit in your bag or car!

There is growing awareness around the potential of tick bites this time of year and the potential injury they carry with them. While many of us do our best to deter these irritating arthropods they are relentless when it comes to latching onto us. Safe and timely tick removal can reduce your risk of infection with Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses.

If you have ever found a tick on yourself or a loved one you may remember the feelings of panic and distress when trying to recall how to remove it and what to do for post-bite care. The longer the tick stays burrowed the greater the risk for infection, making it a time-sensitive task.

What’s in the Tick Kit?

  • The Tick Key is designed to utilize natural forward leverage to remove ticks efficiently—head and all—without squeezing or squishing, even the toughest engorged ticks. Place the key flush against the skin, enclose the tick in the key's slot, and pull straight out with steady, even pressure. For smaller, hard-to-grasp seed ticks or nymphs, use precision tweezers. These tweezers are crucial for targeting tiny ticks that are deeply embedded in the skin. With both tools, remember to never squeeze, burn, apply oils, or twist the tick. Patience is key to safe and complete tick removal.

  • Andrographis, Cat’s Claw, and Japanese Knotweed: These powerful herbs are essential for fighting off pathogens.

Japanese Knotweed: Contains the chemical polyphenol resveratrol, known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Japanese Knotweed Root is highly effective against spirochetes (Lyme bacteria) and, in studies, has outperformed pharmaceutical antibiotics.

Andrographis: An immune stimulant that helps the body quickly recognize invaders and is effective against Borrelia species. Specifically recommended for tick bites, Andrographis is extremely antibacterial. When mixed with clay, this mixture helps draw bacteria out of the skin, significantly reducing the chance of an active infection.

Cat’s Claw: Known for its strong antibacterial properties, Cat’s Claw is included in our formulation for its effectiveness in supporting both topical and internal health. It can be applied topically to the bite for immediate support and taken internally as a potent antibacterial, especially useful when camping or in situations without access to antibiotics. For acute internal support, dilute 1-2 drops in water.

Ticked Off Antibacterial: Apply this herbal blend topically to the bite to soak in the benefits of these powerful herbs.Additionally, this herbal blend can be taken internally as a potent antibacterial, especially useful when camping or in situations without access to antibiotics. For acute internal support, dilute 1-2 drops in water.

  • Ledum and Apis are two of the most commonly used homeopathic remedies for bites. We included both in our Be Prepared Tick Kit to offer broad-spectrum support and help you choose the best remedy based on your symptoms.

    How to Use:

    Ledum 30C:

    • When to Use: Ledum is ideal for puncture wounds, such as tick bites, and is particularly effective if the bite area feels cold to the touch and the pain is relieved by cold applications.

    • Dosage: Place 2 pellets under your tongue and let them melt. Do not touch the pellets with your hands; drop them directly from the container under your tongue.

    • Frequency: May be taken every 3 hours for the first day, followed by once per week for another month

    • Instructions: Avoid taking the remedy immediately before or after eating.

    Apis 30C:

    • When to Use: Apis is best for bites that are red, swollen, and hot to the touch. It’s particularly useful if the area is very itchy and painful.

    • Dosage: Place 2 pellets under your tongue and let them melt. Similar to Ledum, do not touch the pellets with your hands.

    • Frequency: May be taken every 3 hours for the first day, followed by once per week for another month

    • Instructions: Avoid taking the remedy immediately before or after eating.

    If Symptoms Arise:

    • For Mild Symptoms: Continue using Ledum or Apis as directed for up to 7 days.

    • For Moderate Symptoms: Continue using the remedy and monitor closely. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a healthcare provider.

  • Keep your family safe and confident as you explore the great outdoors with our new addition to your tick prevention strategy: Daily Nature Shield. This year-round herbal supplement is designed to complement our tick kits, providing an extra layer of protection against ticks and other biting insects, without fear. Here’s how each herb in Daily Nature Shield empowers your family’s immune defenses:

Cistus: This powerful herb plays a crucial role in tick prevention. Cistus contains plant compounds that are believed to alter the taste or scent of your skin, making it less attractive to ticks. This natural repellent effect helps prevent ticks from latching onto you and your loved ones, reducing the risk of tick-borne diseases. Its antiviral properties further protect the skin by creating a barrier against various environmental pathogens. Additionally, Cistus supports biofilm disruption, which helps in breaking down bacterial colonies and enhancing the effectiveness of other treatments.

Astragalus: Known for its profound impact on the immune system, Astragalus specifically boosts the production and function of white blood cells, which play a crucial role in fighting off infections. It helps enhance the immune response, providing robust support against potential invaders.

Propolis: A natural substance collected by bees, propolis is loaded with antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties. It serves as a powerful ally in boosting your immune system throughout the year, supporting overall health and resilience.

Ingredients: Organic Cistus, Organic Astragalus, Propolis, Organic Glycerine, Organic Sugarcane Alcohol

Identifying Ticks

Ticks vary widely in species and appearance, which can be helpful for families learning to identify them. These tiny creatures progress through several life stages—larvae, nymphs, and adults—each differing in size from a grain of sand to an apple seed.
